£21.50 to sit with my grandad in Lorne Street is frankly a disgrace.

We have one of the biggest gates in the division and we still charge more than Shrewsbury, Burton, Crewe and Macclesfield... where does all the money go?!

A valid question and one thats baffled me for years.

People moan at SEO but even if we sell 2000 season tickets its more than the majority of the division and especially teams like Macc and Accrington who hardly sell 400 season tickets.

Just how do they survive and not just survive but finish the season above us as in Accringtons case?

Where does our money go?

The VALE FANS money keeps the club running.

The other clubs have CHAIRMAN who keep the club running.

Without the VALE FANS there is no club.

That is why I have a problem with SEO. There are some people supporting it who want the very best for the club, but between them and the board, the club itself will be the 'collateral damage' in the war. If the board refuse to give in, and that seems to be what is happening, then it should be SWAT not SEO. Thats Support Without Approval tactics.

Attending matches and giving the club money to survive, waiting out the time until sensible change comes, rather than forcing administration and maybe ending the club just to make a few people feel good that the board have gone. Too risky and too high a price.

There are a few people who have made their SEO status and their OVF credibility more important than the(ir) club. They will be the first to turn on Mo Chaudry should he gain control eventually and not do everything to their liking.

The majority should surely be able to use some imagination and come up with ideas to incite change that do not damage the club. I might be over-optimistic in thinking it but I'm hoping that the most recent noises made by NLV after meeting the board mean that they are taking that path.

If working with some or all of the current diectors still in place is the way forward, and gets the results most Vale fans want, so be it.

SWAT not SEO.

You arent serious surely???

Lets all plod on then and keep handing over our cash!

You just dont get it. They will NEVER relinquish power and its THEM who would put the club in administration just to stay in power, possibly because they are hiding huge financial misdemenours.

Il say it again. Macc dont go into admin on crowds as low as 1500 and season ticket holders as low as 500. Therefore you cannot blame the supporters if 3000 season tickets get sold and we go into admin.

Now wheres that brick wall for my head!!

Good post.

It just illustrates that this useless board couldn't run a toffee shop.

Please come up with an effective alternative to SEO, as all other options, like voting in EGMs have been used. The problem is not SEO, it is the board.

bea, if the club goes into admin it will be down to the board and not the fans .

we (the fans) have protested , marched , emailed , held open meetings , bombarded radio stations , newspapers and fans forums . the board have had every opportunity to respond ! what did they do , even after a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ?

THEY IGNORED US YET AGAIN.

dont worry though its the fans fault , lets just bury our heads in the sand and hope it all sorts itself out eh.

NO , LETS STARVE EM OUT.

BE LOUD AND PROUD AND GET THE SCUM OUT.

I'd just say take a step back and look at my post again.

No way do I blame any supporters for less season tickets being sold leading to administration (apart from a very small number who actually want Vale to have bad results this season) and, and the point I am trying to make is that it is really not about blame and feeling right.

The emotion has to come out of this and the practical side of it has to be pushed forward. There is no point in removing the current directors if there is no league club for their replacements to run.

It would be easy for Sims and Hurst to say they will not talk to Bratt, Oliver and Lloyd and that nobody can do anything until they go, but they are at least trying to find a way forward.

I agree that the board aren't going to give up power to Chaudry, but the bit about financial misdamenours seems over the top, are there any grounds for believing this ? My own guess (and it is only a guess) is that it is a deep mistrust of Chaudry that makes them refuse to budge.

What we seem to have now is a mad propaganda war in which you and a number of others seem to imply that the club have done something wrong and are hiding it, and on the other side there are some people who seem to imply that Chaudry is less than honest (or worse) and would use the club purely for his own ends.

In between, fans who would just like their football without all the bitterness and in-fighting are suffering, and so is Port Vale as a club.

I don't think Bea is Glen mesen. :D

Nor does Amey, and that quote he has of mine is not posted by me. He's said it before, and also accused others for some reason.

Not sure what is going on there, but I don't play those sort of games.

Just where did you get that quote from please Amey ?
