You can't have us 'joint 16th', it goes on alphabetical order. We are actually currently 17th...and yes it does matter.

And shame on Sky Sports for not offering a league table after 5pm. It matters just as much as the final table. Every point counts.

It does not matter until after the last game of the season, then if promotion, playoff, or relegation is at stake, playoffs between the 2 teams would take place.

Somebody is yawping about the tables on the FIRST day of a season !!

Sheffield United are bottom with no points and no goals scored !!! They must be ready to commit suicide.

Wonder if they think its as bad being in that position on Aug 8th as it would be on May 5th 2016 ?

No one is 'yawping' about our position in the table after one match. The issue was saying we are joint 16th when we have rules that dictate that a joint league position is not tolerated. And anyway did everyone think any thing other than this is tongue in cheek dead pan humour being offered here? Check out my user name!!!!!!!! Feel silly now?
