Does liking the Club help if you own it ?

The issue is at Vale though, We do not have many very rich fans and business men/woman that can take over the club. It seems to be either a fan with a small amount of money or a business man with a larger amount.

 

And I gave you my opinion. Much better to have a businessman in terms of potential for the future.

 

The issue at Vale is, before and after the EGM, you are where you are. Well done you. Good luck for the coming season. You're going to need a lot of luck without any money, a shattered fanbase and a useless board.

I would imagine he has more than we have a the moment and he is a proven businessman so has the ability to take a business forward and to attract AND accept investment, so businessman every time. If he also happens to be a fan, then great but not really important.

Money is hugely important if you want to get out of this league, and survive the one above next season. Are you too sentimental about V2001 to see that?

 

Nothing you tell me will convince me you're pro-Port Vale if you continue to defend the board and resist change. You're going nowhere. Just hanging on to wishes and prayers.

 

I feel so sorry for the 80% of shareholders who wanted change, and got shafted by the board with only a handful of backers, such as yourself. Port Vale would have been better off without people like you holding it back. Without a doubt.

Stoke do well out of someone that is a fan do they not.

 

Dont know if this has been done before....but I have been led to believe that Peter coates has said that his bankrolling of sjoke cannot continue.

So I guess your answer is, depends how deep your pockets are,if your a fan and if your a buisness man only(not a fan)then you will be happy with a profit whatever the league,but it appears our board are happy at this level or lg1 most of us reckon championship and then who knows?

But I dont think this lot can do anything except copy crewe and dario,eating all the cash up from future player sales (stop laughing at the back :rolleyes:) as running .

Why not use Mike Lloyd as an example then - he's a businessman and not a fan as well.

 

I don't care if the person running the club comes to it as a lifelong fan or not. I just care about them running the club in a proper, professional manner.

Then, after the board had treated Mike like a piece of proverbial ****, along comes Chaudry. What a stroke of luck! Even more exciting potential for change! Another successful businessman wants to sort out PVFC and take it up the leagues. But that still wasn't good enough for you or your board.

 

Whatever it is you are waiting for is not going to come along. No decent investor would touch you with a bargepole after what you've done to your last two publicised potential investors.

 

You and your board are amateurs. No hope for PVFC until change is forced on you.

For ****** sake I am not having a go at Mo. This is about owning a club not the bloke. He could turn into a fan but thats not the point

 

Yes you are by suggesting he would not be interested in if we win but just about making money. Have you ever thought the two could go hand in hand ?
