Does liking the Club help if you own it ?

I am just wondering what you guys think is the best option for taking a club like Vale forward, Is having someone like Mo (this is not a thread about him or the board) who does not really care if the club wins only if they make money better than someone who wants them to win.

One advantage off not being a fan is that you can have a better relationship with local teams but in the same light you are hardly likely to put a load into something that will not make you money back.

As I said this is not about Mo per say its about what is better a fan or just a business man/woman.

Ideally both, but given we are potless, the latter

The only way a businessman could make money out of a club is to make it more successful than it was when he bought it; to add value.

Therefore, in the interests of the success of the club, it's more important that a business man owns it than a fan.

I don't understand your confusion. Perhaps it's a lower league thing.

You say it's not about them but really it is isn't it with you saying what's better a fan or business man etc..,as for what's the best for taking the club forward, ask the current Chairman:rolleyes:

I would like maybe a fan/business man to run the club like Mark Simms is,the current lot clearly aren't either.

The two aren't exclusive. If you have a fan who is a businessman takeover the club, then you're quids in.

But that wasn't your question.

The issue is at Vale though, We do not have many very rich fans and business men/woman that can take over the club. It seems to be either a fan with a small amount of money or a business man with a larger amount.
