Reading this I have empathy with Smurf to a degree as our gates were down and we have not had a decent cup run to bring in money. The budget was always going to be cut. However each week we save money without paying big earners like Pope, Marshall etc and if all that £1.7 million has gone on the current squad then Norman is frankly being ripped off because Campion is an Ali Dahl (the Southampton fake player, who claimed he was George Weah's cousin) chancer worth no more than £100 per week. Birchall was so bad last season that I'm only glad he is being paid by Vale because I'd hate his wages to come out of mine via his job seekers allowance. Meanwhile anymore than £500 for Dodds, Yates, Daniel, Dickinson and at least half the rest is a rip off.

 

Only O'Connor, Neil, Streete, Brown from the ones I've seen play are worth paying a wage more than this who we have left in our squad.

 

So where are the real players?

 

And where are the real valiants? not a lot on this forum... Replaced by moaners and haters... You may owe some players some apologies in a few weeks. Go to training and you'll see that under Bodin and with the new signings, it actually already is a different team.

Has Smurf actually said there will be no new Strikers arriving. Does anybody seriously think Page would spend the whole budget and not bring in a new Striker.

Listen to Pages interview on Signal last week and also in the Sentinel, he said he has budgeted to bring in 2 forwards. So either:

 

1, Page has spent the £1.7mil but by that, he means a bit is tucked away for the strikers.

 

2, Smurf and Page have sat down and agreed that he could spend £1.7mil on the current team, then Smurf would top it up to bring in 2 New strikers.

 

Or

3, Rob can't ruddy count and when he gave that interview, he actually thought he hasn't spent that much, until knocking on Smurfs door. "Norman I've got the 2 strikers outside", Smurf "What ****** new strikers, my Calculator says Noooooooo" :D

The biggest worry (again) is the Chairman engaging in nonsense on a fans forum.

 

What have either we or he gained from this? **** all.

 

It's all so predictable: he says no Club without him, some fans remain surgically attached to his backside, some fans deluded, some fans optimistic, Club forgets to announce O'Connor's re-signing.
