JMW - Would you welcome him back?

Totally different.

Tom was asked to take a paycut that, in my opinion, was much more than he should have had to.

JMW switches from club to club. Always after the money and the signing on fee and not giving two thoughts about the clubs he leaves behind.

What if Jenno was prepared to take massive paycut to come back?

You clearly know naff all about this a manager resigning is completely different to a player being released. Even if the player is being released by 'mutual consent'

I am saying that neither get a pay out is it so hard to understand. If a player agrees to have his contract terminated then it's similar to resigning.

As a general rule, it is best not to have players back. However, if he were willing to come back for a salary below the average and on a 'pay for play/pay for goals' basis, might be worth being pragmatic for once. He was a valuable player for a while, but I'm sure he won't take a big ay cut so it won't be possible anyway.

If Marshall leaves then yes, we should and it is possible he'd accept less money.

Having said that I saw him in the Tranmere team in a match against Stevenage and he was awful, ditto Rob Taylor.

Both those guys were good players for us once but were in a sub football league team and looked it.

I watched JMW last season playing for Tranmere against Burton Albion. Tranmere supporters regard that team as the worst in over 90 years because that is the length of their league stay just ended. He was on loan and particularly ineffective on a narrow pitch. He looked diminished compared to his time with Port Vale and in my opinion he is best left in the past. I wish him well because he is better than that, but clearly a player drifting needing confidence.
