If the game has already been stopped why not allow a few seconds for a review?

If its a goal they stop long enough to go to half way to review if a player was offside.

If its a sending off then the game is stopped for the freekick/penalty so allows time to review and reverse the decision is needed.

I am not saying to stop it to see if it should have been a foul/offside but if they feel it should be a sending off and have already stopped the game why not use the review? Nor do I think it should be used to see if it was a penalty or not. They have to give the penalty first then review if there is any reason for reversing the decision.

I have for a long time believed that each team should be allowed a number of appeals, tennis style. In this way grave injustices that occur can be rectified. Surely with decisions often meaning the difference between staying up or going up or down this should be put in place ASAP.

Absolutely not, the game doesn't lead itself to tv replays. Football is a flowing game and shouldn't be turned into a stop/start yawn.

It takes a couple of seconds, there is plenty time for it in football when the players are rolling round on the floor or complaining at the ref.

Yep I'm sure it will be put in place for the Pig & Whistle v The Red Lion..even div 3 clubs would struggle.

if it can't be implemented at all levels (and it can't) then it should not be implemented at any level..why should thew PL get the benefit of having grave injustices corrected just cos it has the money!!!

When Leek CC play Knypersley CC the unpires can't refer to the 4th umpire for hot spot or snicko. You can't go to the big screen during your local Rugby League game to see whether the forward grounded the ball behind the try line, or if your playing a club tennis match challenge the umpires call using hawkeye. It would all have to be chucked out of the window based on that argument, money talks and there's cameras at every Premier League ground for every Premier League game so stands to reason they will reap the rewards rightly or wrongly.

That said I don't see why the Football League couldn't implement something like the goal line technology they would have to pay for it initially for all 72 League Clubs but relatively speaking I can't see it being that expensive.....

There are many differences between professional sports and their amateur equivalents so that argument is a poor one I think.

Any technology that could be used to get Garner sent off for cheating is fine by me
