How does his win percentage in League One compare with Rudgie's?

Its doesn't jean...Adams will never ever get anywhere close to Johnny Rudgie,

He was just trying to come up with some facts thinking nobody will notice, humour him, he may go away,:boring:

I am the first to admit that Micky Adams, like 95% of all football managers who have ever worked, isn't fit to touch John Rudge's flat cap. My posting of those statistics more in response to stupid comments like "[MA] papered over the cracks". Yes, Micky's style wasn't always the most scintilating, yes he did prop up the board at the time when we all wanted rid but, really, does it matter? *cliche alert* At the end of the day, when he left, we were in a far better position than we were in when he joined - both on and off the pitch.

The daft thing about all this is that I don't actually like Micky and was relieved when he left. However, I at least have the nowse to realise that he did some very very good things for us (and am not a bitter old **** with an axe to grind (or someone who keeps calling people stupid but lacks an awareness of even the most basic rules of punctuation and spelling)).

One other point: people (IMO unfairly) deride him as being a long ball merchant. If he was so in to kick and rush, why did he go out of his way to sign two out and out wingers? Why sign some of the best midfield ball players we've had in years? Anyway, if that 'dinosaur football' meant that we got promoted, entailed lifelong Vale fan Tom Pope ending up as one of the top scorers in Europe, and gave us results like the ones against Rotherham, Fleetwood and that incredible night at Burton, then give me that any day of the week.

He never said he did, nor would any Vale fan that enjoyed both era's.

He simply pointed out how floored your bitterness towards a successful manager is, it's quite a logical and obvious argument really.
