No it's still a private company, the club is taking over the contract in June.

Is that just the "tea Bars" or all the catering facilities ?

When the club takes over the Tea Bars - I hope the club would start by getting ONE of the part of the ground right. Once they have proven that they can get it right then they can move onto another part.

Try Lorne street first. Then Bycars and then Paddock - Its not that I'm against the Paddock but if they cant get a smooth running machine in the Lorne street or Bycars what chance have they got in the paddock. There are a lot more people in the paddock.

Once the "Team" has got it right in say the Lorne street I would suggest that some staff are moved from there to the Bycars and they replecate getting it RIGHT in the Bycars. Some existing Bycars staff would be moved to the Lorne street to work in proven Area as part of a training process. Once the two sections are operating fully do the same process in the Paddock. That scenario might not be the final answer but I hope that you can see that by planning what you are attempting to achieve is far more professional than to just chucl cheap kids at the problem.

I would think it much better and easier to start again, clean sweep. No bits and bobs half a***d attempts.Get it changed over in one go.The company that is used now have had more than enough time to get their act together but still prove to be useless in what they provide catering wise.

It makes you wonder how the caterer managed to get the contract in the first place

They most probably have good customer references from other places but because we were a fourth division football club thought that existing standards do not apply. This resulted in corners being cut to reduce the overheads and the failure to accept that complaints from football supporters should receive the same attention as ones from other catering outlets.

I'll tell you what, if they don't have ALL the turnstiles open for the Paddock and Stand for our biggest match of the season come boxing day I'm kicking off big style.

Utter shambles AGAIN on Saturday. Missed the teams coming out despite having a paper ticket and arriving at the ground at 14.42.

If I took over the club I'd sack EVERYBODY and start again. Some of these employees have been at the club through 2 bouts of administration for god sake! The lack of enthusiasm/common sense shown by the vast number of Port Vale employees from club shop staff, ticket office workers, all the way up to the club secretary is staggering to me.

Sack everybody-blimey,I l think Smurfs' doing a great job and to be honest I was queuing same as everyone else and it wasn't that bad,**** happens.

The only thing that Smurf has done wrong during his tenure at Vale is not finding a CLUB SECRETARY who can do a professional job. If he had then a lot of the issues would not have arisen
