Pulis Out!

Santa

Recommended Posts

Tony Pulis' reward for keeping Crystal Palace in the Premier League is to have all his transfer targets vetoed and to 'leave by mutual consent' two days before the start of the season.

Whose club (shop) will he be bailing out next season?

Opinions and views please.

To be honest it stinks. The "old school" type of manager appears to be on the way out in the big bucks league.

For all his faults Pulis saved the club millions by taking the club away from relegation in some comfort by the end of the season when they had been totally written off after Holloway's demise. He at least should have been allowed to start the season!

I would like to know the Palace supporters take on it as it's their opinion that matters most. I suspect that whilst it's "mutual" consent, Pulis has stuck to his guns and rightly, in my opinion, wants overall control of football matters and has fallen on his sword.

Either way Palace will have the season they deserve.

Surprised by this move but I'm sure Pulis won't be too bothered. His stock has never been higher after what he achieved last year and is nailed on to be linked with any club that sack their manager when they're in a bit of bother.

The likes of Pardew, Monk, Pearson, Lambert, Irvine and even Hughes should watch their backs.

I think Pulis' availability could well expedite one of the above out of a job- probably Pardew or Lambert

I think Palace will struggle in this season.. now tony pulis has left.. he guided them to 11th position in the premier league last season. He left because of a break down in his relationship with the chairman. and also the chairman wouldn't support his bids and he didn't get his transfer targets because they went elsewhere.

I hope Palace go down now - not wishing that on their fans but their chairman, I agree with the earlier poster on watch the chairman pocket the parachute money. I was never a fan of Pulis at Stoke - I avoided the M.O.T.D. highlights, but not only did he turn Palace round he also seemed to play with more style with them.

Tin hat on here but I even had the discussion after our World Cup debacle that we could do worse than employ Pulis, he gets results and doesn't give a damn how he gets them, but more importantly at Palace - when he had flair players he used them. I can think of far worse in charge of our National team - like Hodgson.
