Some numpties on here, Adams made the decision, at the end of the day i could look in an 8-0 and 6-0 win, christ our right winger was also our sub keeper. Its how hes been playing in training against the other professionals you should make judgement on.

Just because we not signed him,doesn't always mean we crnt afford him,maybe,just maybe,micky doesn't rate him???

 

 

Common sense at last - but can I add that there may also be several other factors that come into play when deciding whether to sign a player, particularly one whose first language is not English.

 

It may be that MA has seen signs that he would not settle well, either in the area or with the other players. It may be purely tactical - a player may have a style and method of play that isn't going to fit with what is planned for the team.

 

Temperament, age, past experience, likely rate of future development, physical strength, tax and other financial considerations (foreign pension payments, and who knows what else), agents fees or involvement, many other things....the simple truth is that Micky has the facts and we don't.

 

So speculation of the type earlier in this thread is unproductive at best, but is in no way in the best interests of Port Vale, its manager, chairman, players or supporters.

I changed my car recently..I looked at many that I could afford but decided not to buy..they just were not what I wanted. It wasn't that I couldn't buy them.

 

We will let players go or not take them on for all sorts of reasons..including they aren't good enough or aren't right for what MA wants

Exactly, micky could have loads of reasons why he doesn't want sign him,or even that vidal lad.

Happens in all clubs.

But just knew,because of missing out on O'connor, someone would jump on this.

If we never had o conner, nothing would have been said abt not signing the french lad

Exactly, what is the point of a trial if all the trialists are signed? From memory most in past seasons were not signed.

Which youngsters would that be then? Lets see Micky give them some games, although, apart from Lloyd, I can't think who he could possibly mean.

I just hope that Smith and Johnson don't join the list of youngsters wanting away.
