Whilst the lifers decision is disappointing, it is understandable and I do have some sympathy for Norman.

The real villains of this are Bratt & Co and no-one seems to mention them. In business the lifers are just another creditor of V2001. I think had Norman not have honoured this scheme initially it would probably not raised the fuss it has now.

I don't however like it when ordinary fans are left out of pocket through no fault of their own.

The club did not ignore my letter - which was more an expression of disappointment than complaint - and the Chairman has telephoned me twice as a result.

With regards the opening topic, I wouldn't have thought we'd get much for Hugill with him only being at the club a year. But Davis has been with us since he was 9 so I imagine we'll get a healthy enough sum?

 

I notice Steve Davis has stuck his nose into our business this morning. I think he needs to concentrate on making sure his players' minds are on the job at hand unlike last preseason!
