Hereford thrown out of Conference

Both former Vale players have left them now - Kingsley James has signed for Chester (who ironically will probably replace Hereford in the Conf) while Dan Lloyd-Weston has left over unpaid wages and has now joined Martin Foyle at Southport.

It's terribly sad to read the Hereford forum and read phrases like "the club has died" etc:

Very sad. Thinks like this happening at clubs like Hereford and you have the stupid amount of money spent in the premiership, something isn't right.

It is sad, you would think that these mega rich clubs that pay some players more in a week than probably the overall debt that Hereford united are in , would step in and bail them out, but there again in this mega rich selfish world of football does any one really care ?

Will Foyley feel guilty?

Looking into it, I don't think Foyle is to blame and certainly the Hereford fans on the forums don't think so either.

The fans are upset with the owner who continually breaks promises to make payments that are owed. Foyle is just the first person to be owed to be in a position to force the issue via a legal threat. In Hereford fans' eyes, that is a good thing as it may force the owner (Keyte) out.

The fans want HUISA (Hereford fans trust) to take over and a bid has been submitted only to be rejected in favour of a former convicted criminal - Tommy Agombar. The new owner has now also defaulted on payment promises and hence Hereford have been booted out of the Conference (that's Conference National, North and South BTW)

So, this has very little to do with Martin Foyle - it's the actions of the owners, not Foyle that has caused all this mess.

Take a look at this statement from the players on the situation - it is farcical and I do feel sorry for Hereford fans:
