Hereford thrown out of Conference

If Hereford FC ceases to be that would be very very sad..the fans do not deserve that. Hopefully a new club would emerge

If it continues in another league then so be it..they should live within their means from now on and this wil not happen again

I think the one good thing is that the council (a bit like Stoke council with us) have been supportive.

The council look like they will ensure Edgar St is available for the club:

But the problem is that Keyte/Agombar still "own" the club at the moment.

I guess it's much easier said than done to boot them out and get HUISA (supporters trust) either in charge of the existing club/to run a newly formed club at Edgar St.

At the moment it's stalemate. No-one wants Keyte/Agombar in charge but they don't want to budge either.

BTW, for any complainers about Vale's summer activity - Hereford have - no manager, no assistant manager, two players under contract and they aren't even registered to play in a league at the moment.

Very sad. Thinks like this happening at clubs like Hereford and you have the stupid amount of money spent in the premiership, something isn't right.

Well said that man! The whole game is ridiculously skewed in favour of The Premiership where reality seems to be a distant concept!

It is sad' date=' you would think that these mega rich clubs that pay some players more in a week than probably the overall debt that Hereford united are in , would step in and bail them out, but there again in this mega rich selfish world of football does any one really care ?[/quote']

In a word no, look how Harry and Storrie were allowed to wreck Pompey.

The PL boys wouldn't care less if Hereford, us or even teams like Bradford went to the wall.

They proved that by supporting stupid things like the b team league.

Then again do we really care what happened to Newport and Aldershot during our glory days?

Very sad when I happens to any club and SKY/prem should do more. I recall Bratts plan for more income . He told share holders that he had heard that interest rates may rise so we'd get more from Britannia and hopefully we'd get a good draw in the cup!

Leaving the moral argument behind... because it's in their interests to have a healthy pyramid system feeding into the Premier League.

And why will that cease to be cos some clubs are forced lower down that pyramid?Hereford are not in this mess cos Sky/PL don't give them more money

Hereford are not in danger of going down a few leagues, they are in danger of ceasing to exist.

Hereford are not in this mess cos Sky/PL don't give them more money

You're actually changing the argument here - the original poster you replied to didn't say they were to blame just that they should "do more." I agree that they should. Hereford are in this mess primarily because of their debts. Like most money problems in the leagues below the PL these problems often arise at least partly due to the uneven distribution of money.

It isn't directly due to Sky and the Premier League but they are a contributory factor and I think that they should be doing more as the poster said.

Personally, I do think it's somewhat disrespectful to Hereford fans to split hairs over who/what is to blame. There is a time and a place for reflection but right now surely all the focus should be on looking at the present and how the extinction of the club can be prevented.
