Some people on here are very fickle, he was okay and certainly not half as bad as many would have you believe. Okay, he had a few shockers but he is no worse than the majority of our squad. On the other hand I'm glad he's off our wage bill because for what he offered he was grossly overpaid

How do you know he was grossly overpaid?

 

After what he did I'm glad the club shipped him out as I don't think he's irreplaceable. I will enjoy giving him grief on his return to VP - You watch it'll be the first match of the season!

I thought his limitations were quickly revealed this season. His dribbles require distance to warm up (can't play wing back) and League 1 defenders know how to stop him. Defensively only ok at this level. So I don't think Chesterfield are making a push for promotion signing with him.

I don't know why people are bothering discussing whether he is good enough.

 

The fact is he assaulted and practically maimed our captain, (allegedly) without provocation, and in my opinion should have been arrested, charged and given a really severe punishment, possibly custodial. The police in some areas currently have a campaign stating that 'One punch can kill' (something that has sadly happened a few times but some idiots on here think its just a 'boys will be boys' thing. It isn't, and to wish him well is beyond belief.

 

I won't say what I wish him, but I sincerely believe that what goes around, comes around and it is only a matter of time before the violent suntanned piece of ***** gets his richly deserved reward, hopefully on a pitch somewhere and I'd be overjoyed to witness it. Gone but not forgotten, or forgiven either.

Yes I agree that if Loft complained to the Police - and it is for him to initiate that action as the victim - then I would expect subject to the facts that Jones would be charged with a serious offense and would also be liable to Loft for civil damages. But that has not happened and so I have focused back on the footballing outcome - free transfer to Chesterfield.
