Indeed it was

Fellaini is just a pathetic bully..I'll bet he would not have done that to Toure or Kompany

For me Moyes is repeatedly getting his team selection badly wrong (although it does of course depend on who is available). Ferdinand is simply not up to it, the right back (whose name escapes me) is just awful and a midfield of Cleverley, Fellaini and Carrick agsint City's highly mobile midfield? He does not seem to know how to use Mata.

Rooney again could not hack it when up against quality defenders; especially defenders he can't bully

Fellaini should have received a red card for that forearm smash,he did something similar against Ryan Shawcross down the Brit.

United were shocking, as to be expected against a top team. The fact that Moyes was ecstatic that his side beat a poor Olympiakos side (though they did do well to turn it around) and a struggling West Ham side say's it all. Felliani is not and will never be a top player, he was a poor signing and they should have gone all out to sign his Everton team-mate Ross Barkley instead, who's potential is sky high and is exactly the type of player United are missing in the middle of the park. Juan Mata has also looked completely lost in a United shirt. He's a very good player and wasn't Chelsea's player of the season for consecutive years for no reason, so his poor form must have something to do with the manager and how he is playing him.

United have Van Persie, Rooney, Carrick (though I'm not a fan) and De Gea who they should build their team around. You can also include Adnan Januzaj in that, although he's been massively over-hyped due to a couple of good goals and the fact that United are desperate for some hope at this moment in time. Both Ferdinand and Evra should have either retired or moved to lesser clubs by now, neither have the legs anymore and aren't good enough for a top club.

Cleverly gets a lot of stick, and he's just not good enough for a club of that size and stature, but he's no worse than the likes of Rafael, Evans, Young and Valencia, the latter has to be one of the worst wingers to play regularly for a top club I can remember.

City's movement, especially in midfield was too much for United to cope with,I dread to think what Bayern Munich will do to them in the CL.

They're poor in both midfield and defence. At the back the likes of Ferdinand, Vidic (down to injuries) and Evra are all well past their best, while back-ups like Evans, Smalling, Buttner and Rafael simply aren't good enough. They need a major over-haul in the summer, but can they trust Moyes to spend so much money? Especially when you have to say that his current signings have both been flops, though in fairness that could change as it's still early for both.

I think Moyes is a decent manager, one that can get the best from a limited squad and on a budget like he did at Everton for so many years, a bit in the same way that Micky Adams can. But when it comes to tactics he hasn't got a clue, and I really can't imagine players want to play for him in the same way they would a Ferguson, Mourinho, Klopp etc.

Exactly- which is what I keep telling my St-joke supporting friends! A fall from grace is never too far away, in the same vein that every dog has his day

Did Moyes really do that well at Everton though? One cup final appearence, top 10 league finishes.

Everton look a far better team now than they have for a few years.

How many Everton fans would want him back now?

I don't think anyone can argue that on the whole he did a great job at Everton. Martinez has simply carried on his good work, though obviously he's got them playing football a lot more because that's his philosophy.

It's a completely different task at a club like United though. You're dealing with whole new pressure, you have to be able to handle some of the biggest names in football and in this scenario you're having to replace what is widely regarded as one of the best managers of all time.

As a fan of Liverpool I really hope he stays for many years! :D
