Micky Adams take a bow.

With all the uncertainty surround Mr Adams contract, and every man and his dog airing their views, maybe it is worth looking at these facts.

Look at the wins % column, infact if you do what I did which was look at the column from top to bottom it is even more remarkable !

Add on the turmoil behind his reign as Vale manager, it is indeed 'take a bow son'

Yes statistics are one thing but as far as Vale fans are concerned more importantly Micky has proven beyond doubt that he is the man for us and has given his all throughout.

Some may mock him in so much that he's apparently on a very good salary but hey you lot he has, along with us, endured almighty hell for a long, long time and is till here, improving the Vale in so many ways.

Take a bow certainly Micky as nearly the entire fan base and more want you to progress further with us.

Surely it is a very simple matter to get together with Norm and actually speak to each other about the future?? Swallow some pride, either Micky or Norm or both and sit down and sort this stupid mess out. All the so called press comments, Q & A's etc are simply putting more confusion on what is an achievable resolution if only the 2 of you would behave like men!!!!!!! PLEASE:D

Hopefully we can resolve one of the most important issues at the club at the moment.

We have always got a chance with Adams at the helm whether that be keeping us up with a budget cut or pushing for the play-offs. Whatever goes on off the pitch, Adams will do his job - what more could happen to us that would distract him? Nothing more than he has already dealt with.

If he does decide to leave he'll be one of the best managers we have had.

Dry stats sometimes need context. John Rudge's win ratio of 37.2% involved a lot of games in the Championship.

Micky's been doing a great job but has anyone managed more Port Vale games in the fourth tier than him?

Rudge never had to manage under V2001 that probably evens it out a bit, MAs record is pretty good when taking that into account.

I think I went to every game that Bobby Smith was in charge.....They were not good days. :(

Bobby Smith.:( What a

I would say he managed to plumb the depths so much the team of the Dean Glover management era would have hammered his side.

Thank goodness those days are long gone and thank goodness for the management skills of Mr. Adams, at least his results outweigh his (sometimes) childish petulance.:)

TO be fair, micky thought highly of them, and even thanked them when we got promoted.

He's done a fantastic job, but to compare him or even try to put him on or above a similar level to rudgie is ridiculous. The level of success, the years service, the cup runs, the quality of players, the money brought into the club, the numerous victories over stoke, etc was just on another level. Can understand if people making the claims are younger and didn't see the success we had.
