For me, Blackadder Goes Forth series is up there with the very best in British comedy. There's just so many brilliant sketches, the spy in the hospital and Blackadder interrogating Capt. Darling, the poo poo sketch with Melchet, Melchet's pidgeon sketch etc, etc and Tony Robinson was just brilliant.

I just love the show,in fact my favourite all time series,although I also loved one foot in the grave.

 

They were going to do one more OFAH where Del was to celebrate his 65th birthday until John Sullivan passed away.

For me in OFAH the characters became tired and almost a cliche of themselves. One of the beauties of Black Adder was that each series featured new/revitalised central characters in a different situation..but OFAH in its day was pure class
