Our Pusscat

JOHNNYAITCH

Recommended Posts

Our beloved Pusscat has just been given around 48 hours to live. The little darling who has battled on with health problems for the past couple of years has severe heart failure

The wife and neighbours are all wandering around in tears..I of course don't understand all the fuss..it's only a cat (and if you believe that you'll believe anything :( ).

Pusscat is just lying around in the sun..as usual

Anyone know what the law says (if anything) regarding what we have to do when she has gone? Don't want the wife to have to ask these questions

Not sure about the law but we've got 3 of our cats buried in the garden and the ashes of one in a box.

Garden burial is legal if lt's your garden. Hole about 3 foot deep and cover with wire.

It is indeed, we have around 6 or 7 buried in our garden.

Do make sure you cover with wire though, its a good tip to prevent other aniimals trying to dig at the hole.

Heartbreaking stuffy Johnny, I remember it only too well. Thoughts are with you.

Christ on a bike they are only animals...

I lost two of mine [rescued] to snake bites, it upset me for days. My third wife took my cat [banana] with her. I still miss that cat. When I went to chiang mai a couple of weeks ago we stopped off for food and two feral/stray kittens were sitting under a bush obviously starving so I bought half a chicken and a carton of milk to feed them, the Thais thought I was crazy. [i feed stray dogs too]

Stop worrying about them...

Do you still see much of our type of house pets being eaten where you are Geo?

I'm in Thailand for a couple of months at the end of this year / start of next and thats one of the things I really, really am not looking forward to coming across.

Apologies in advance for taking the thread....:offtopic:

Would love to let her go naturally but she is really struggling with her breahing and in obvious discomfort.

Tricky to say the least

Always sad to lose a pet, we buried one of our cats in the garden, and planted a bush over him, so he would'nt be disturbed.

I believe that when I get a pet I'm agreeing to look after their health and welfare, but also, when the time comes, to ensure that they don't suffer.

I'm not worrying about her..I am worrying about my wife though

And wondering what to do when she (the cat) is gone. Pusscat was constant companion to my wife when she was stuck in bed for 17 weeks after a car crash and has brought joy and happiness to our home..so want to do right by her..simple really

That's how I see it..we are not her owners but took on the responsibility of looking after her..still need to do that
