He is anti-management because he doesn't wear rose tinted specs. Do you think MA would be still

He probably would be gone. Any manager in their right mind would do the same. Why has Martinez gone to Everton? Why has Moyes gone to Man U? Because a bigger job's come along and they want to further themselves. It's part of football and part of life. Why some can't see this baffles me!!

 

Adams has done a first class job since he's been here. Yes he went to Sheff Utd (like he said he would), that didn't work out so he came back here and became the first manager to get us promoted in 19 years. And yet still some berate him!! The mind boggles

agree, cannot wait for next season under MA, he has done fantastic job for us, just hope that we can push on next season and get behind the manager and team

Alan and Caroline are both very negative towards Adams and anybody connected with the V2001 reign.

 

With regards to Manager's moving to better and bigger clubs, isn't that the aim of the game and showing a bit of ambition? He left for Sheff Utd as he said he always would if they cam knocking. Can't really blame him can you?

 

Owen has football intelligence far beyond them both? How on earth do you know? Because he has achieved so much in the game and you managed to hear him in his part-time role on the mighty Radio Stoke?

What's Owen doing nowadays? Gone to For Barcelona, Madrid, Man Utd, Crewe even?? Nope, he works part time on radio stoke. Hardly a ringing endorsement of his footballing intellegance is it?

Its a pretty fair question to ask..... would pope have scored so many?.... would

he have played so many?.... who knows?

I dont see any criticism of adams in the post yet people are so quick to jump to his defense...... if its true its worth saying? isnt it?

But its not about adams...... he may be the squeaky little voice in the background hiding his insecurities behind a none entity named grew.... but its not about him.... or grew.... its about being professional enough to keep ya gob shut when there is nothing to say.... and there was nothing to say.... it was and is an internal matter between club and player.... why couldnt it stay like that?

 

Putting it down to luck decrys the achievements of putting a team together under such adversity.

 

How people can bring Adams name into this thread is crazy as it doesn't involve him. As i said i don't like Grew at all but his comments are more than fair especially if Sam isn't to throw his career away like so many others.

Micky Adams will not please everybody all the time, but what cannot be questioned is his achievements last season. Yes ok he was given the great heavo from his boyhood club, which must have hurt him inside, but he chose to come back to the Vale who were still in the same perilous state as when he left. He then had the rug pulled by V2001, Bratt, Miller and finally Ryder, but still managed to assemble a squad of players capable of giving us promotion. He could have left at any time but he didn't, so lets cut the crap with this suggestion that he will walk out as soon as someone comes knocking. As for Owen, like the other ex-Cobblers PFA clown, I don't see any great queue forming for their services.

Grew is spot on in his assessment he has probably been led these questions by a reporter and he is just saying how it is! good luck to the lad and i,m sure we will bring in a replacement who is better than Sam.

 

I,m sure Sam knows what he is like and needs to address his aggressive nature in his next challenge
