That's a good point and you may be right.

Both are starved of service but Hughes seems more likely at present to score.

He got a very good goal yesterday and almost scored another one.

The ball isn't bouncing for Pope at the moment.

And he can always come on after 60 minutes if we need him.

I don't think that you can make the comparison Jinky. Pope relies very much on good aerial service whilst Hughes is a predator. I believe this is why Louis Dodds should be playing behind them as he is an intelligent player who will lay off good passes for the front two.

The two wide men should be left on the bench and used as impact players if and when required. Birchall actually put over more crosses than either vincent and JMW have mamaged for weeks.

The advantage of both Dodds and Birchall is that they will bolster our midfield which has clearly needed help for a long time now.

Not stupid at all, any fan with a brain can see that he's struggling at the moment. If it was any other player he wouldn't have had 9 games to not score in. We're all talking about form, pope has none and I feel that Hughes should lead the line.
