No, i just watched the game. Did you miss where he was booked for handball, that was an easy chance as you will see. Or the nod down from pope which he fluffed. Neither were even on target but both were sitters

the handball was because the cross was going to high to head, hardly a sitter. he had to quality volleys that were luckily blocked. hughes is a quality forward, yes his legs are going but he still puts a shift in,

leave Hughes at home and play Dodds behind Pope, Tom just needs a goal to give him a boost.hughes is past it and offers nothing more than goal poaching but its desperation football to rely on a has been player!

they can both play together its the service thats gone. hughes still has the work rate and is more feared than pope

Probably different to you.Pope to start,Hughes on the bench. He hasn't got the legs anymore to lead the line.

Only the stupidest fans in the world would want to drop a 27 goal striker , well done vale fans.

I don't care how many goals he has scored up until Christmas. The fact is he hasn't scored in 9 and if continues to get the nod over other, hungrier forwards it WILL cost us automatic promotion. Tom Pope has reverted to the player he was last season and should be dropped with imediate effect. Dodds, Williamson, Hughes and even Andrew deserve a game more than Pope does in his current form.

Dropping Pope may make him hungry again. Stopping playing to the wings or not switching the play is a downfall, I don't understand why Birchy cannot get in the team and a liability such as Griff walks back into it and after five mins gets a yellow card...we did not miss him at all...

It wasnt even an half chance I was right by it no chance to score or head it back, you have no argument.

TBH I think Purse needs leaving on the bench, his distribution is awful, he just lumps it forward all the time to the opposition.

We need to get the ball down and start playing football again with pace and power down the wings.

The reason Popey isnt scoring is down to the wingers not putting balls in from the wings, start doing this and i think the goals will flow again.
