Yeah, we do need this takeover to happen first. Preferably in time for preseason (it all depends on when the cornetto budget runs out )

I think to get us up we need a manager proven at this level, not necessarily a well know name from a higher division.

I thought perhaps the likes of Knill, Buckle or Coleman would come to the fore but Gannon beat them to it.

Having spoken to Accrington officials and staff outside the ground, they were impressed that our fans had such passion. The local police also allowed us to voice our opinion. The fans reaction was no more disgusting than Gannons decisions on the day.

I wanted Coleman as soon as Adams left. I wanted him when Gannon walked. I still want him as our manager. He already has a family link with the club and is keen to come to Vale, as shown by him applying for the job twice already. Give me your car keys, Bill. I'll fetch him.

 

My sat nav is already programmed with the route to the Crown Ground just for this eventuality.

 

I would LOVE to have him at PV. He really is a superb manager.

IMO Coleman and Buckle are the two best managers in this division and if we could get either of them to come to the Vale then we should, if it costs compensation then you work that into the budget, at the end of the day if either came to Vale and can work on a similar wage budget to their existing clubs and get us promoted then that would pay the compensation fee back 10 fold. This board wont do it and wether a new board coming in would do it is not a certainty either. We cannot keep Grew if we want to progress so what other options are there? hopefully Adams at the end of the season or take a gamble on the likes of Aspin, Ainsworth or Bogie.

i agree we need a good proven manager at this level to get pvfc as one again like adams did we all remember shres at home 8500 there and loving it but i fear this board will stay and appiont grew and horsfield to whom i have nothing against but i think thats not a step forward and we will end up nearer 4000 next season

whoever the new manager will be, the fans will need to exercise some patience and allow them to get the team playing how they want them to. Also, they should be allowed to bring in their own backroom staff.

 

Whatever the rights and wrongs , Sinnott and Gannon were always going to be hampered from day one.
