Absolutely correct OS you only have to think back to that peach of a cross he put on Rico's head for the equaliser against Lincoln a couple of season's ago as one example.

 

My only problem with Kris is that I think he cannot play in a back four, he looked far more effective when used as a wing back with the 3 centre backs of McCombe, Owen and Collins in the early part of 2009/10 season. where he could get forward and relie on the pace of Collins to come over and cover for him. So to answer the question to have him back I would say no unless we are going to change our defensive formation to 3 centre backs and stick with it which I cannot see happening.

 

Agree totally, always felt he was a nice footballer, an average athlete and an average leftback. Sure he could do a good job in a team playing 3 5 2 on the left or more centrally at this level. Don't quite see where he fits in a 4 4 2 and MA isn't going to set his team up any other way on a regular basis. Would like him to get another league club somewhere.

So it seems the team has hit a little 'blip', although the nature of losing the last three games defensively begs the question that we are a little short of pace, already established by the fact that we need a left back.

 

There is no one in the lower leagues as good going forward from a defensive position as Kris, he brought a bit of creativity into the game and knows how to cross the ball, also being flexible enough to change into a midfielder position. He won promotion from this league easily with Walsall- get him back!!!

 

I think he would come back with a point to prove, and cannot seem him being anything but an asset rather than a hindrance in the next six months here, we need a left back and Kris knows Boom, Lofty and has already trained here, so surely it wouldnt cosy a lot to prise him back from Telford?

 

yes we need a left back and yes kris delivers a very good ball at times but we have had our fill of paceless full backs, no thanks!

Kris Taylor has a good cross and passing game. But I think he is a weak defensive full back and exposed by every wide player of reasonable quality. Not for me at full back. I wouldn't rule him out further forward as backup.

Given he was a left back, you would think MA would know what he was doing / looking for. Can't see what's wrong with Ricardo Gardner unless MA is worried about his fitness.

Personally I cant understand why we are still shopping at Aldi (ref the last 2 we put on short term deals) when we should clearly be shopping at Sainsbury s now we have new owners with more than a bag of crisps and a pork scatchin in there back pockets.:rolleyes:

 

We need to up the quality of this current squad by NOT recruiting from the likes of Telford and Job Seakers. There must be loads of better able players sitting on benches at Championship Clubs or Prem reserves.
