Football songs are a laugh, they are not meant to offend, they are just meant to get the atmosphere in the ground going and hopefully get a rise out of either an oposition player or their crowd. It was nice to actual have some away supporters in the ground to banter with to be honest.

 

I think people just need to remember football songs are just what they are, songs in the ground to wind up the opposition and not much else. If people are offended then don't sing them, keep quiet and wait for a song that you will sing. I would say you could go to any ground in the country and you could probably be offended by at least one thing that you hear.

Actually I am usually offended by Chubby Brown (not that he is ever on TV in this day and ages for obvious reasons) he is a scumbag, a racist and now very outdated. Frankie Boyle offends occasionally with jokes about Jordans disabled child yes. Russell Howard is not usually offensive.
