Left back??

As we know Taylor is struggling in this position at the moment and although Loft has done a decent job i do think he gets shown up on occasions,i also think he is far better in midfield.

So if Adams can spend a little once the takeover is complete who in the lower leagues has impressed enough for us to maybe bid for? or should we go for a youth or reserve from a higher league.

Also although Adams says he doesn't want to bring many new faces if any in,i actually think he will bring upto 4 in,left back, centre half,a big midfielder and striker.

I don't think Adams will move lofty from left back imo.

I believe that Adams would prefer to have Loft in midfield if he had a suitable replacement at left back. We were out played in midfield (again) yesterday at FGR, when our players thought the game was already won at 2 nil, and "coasting". Norwood did impress, but if he is that good on a regular basis, why hasn't he been picked up by a higher club!!! Full credit to FGR though, they deserved a replay. From our point of view, with injuries, thank goodness they didn't it get it. I would have fancied them to turn us over at Vale Park.

I think that a specialist left back is an absolute must. You cannot blame Taylor for trying and failing to fulfil a role that he is clearly incapable of performing. His fiddle faddling by the corner flag that led to the second goal yesterday was the action of a forward trying to mess around with the opposition defender? He should have booted the ball into the crowd. The problem with Taylor now is that as an attacking midfielder being asked to play at full back he is now neither one thing nor the other.

I agree that Loft has more impact at left back than in midfield.

We desperately need him back. Looking at the last 2 games, Taylor cost us massively at Northampton, and yesterday in the build up to the frankly stupid foul he gave away he had 3 or 4 opportunities to deal with the situation. He then played a huge role in not clearing a ball properly that ended with Big Mac clearing one off the line.

Not nearly good enough IMHO.

Re midfield, I would be interested to see what Murphy can bring to the side. Biggest issue at the mo in centre mid is we do not physically dominate.

The left / Right back position is the easiest position on the park for someone to slot into. Loft had never played there in his life and he adapted fine. Taylor on the other had has played in that role many times over the years and is still garbage so imo the fact that people are sayin he's playing bad because hes at left back is a smoke screen for how woeful Rob Taylor is as a player

Sadly and i dont know if it's because of the injuries he has had over the last couple of years but i think Taylor is the only player who has gone backwards imo.
