Better than Yates IMO. Just look more solid at the back with him. Against walsall he was poor but i thought last night he was decent. We all know the strongest team is what played last night but with Loft at left back although Taylor didnt have a too bad game last night.

Rigg was their best player by a mile and was really up for it, and he was kept fairly quiet. JMW didn't track back a great deal (as you'd expect), so Duffy must have done a decent enough job. I like Yates though and am glad there's competition for places.

Anyone that thinks Yates is a better full back than Duffy are wrong, Yates is decent in league 2, He'd get torn to bits in league 1, He cant cross and positionally is poor, But he can get away with it at this level, Duffys had 1 bad game against Gillingham and people are already slating the guy, I think Micky knows more about football than any of us on a forum and he seems happy with him so so am I.

Duffy is a class above Yates. With Loft and Duffy as our full backs, as a team, we keep possession much better. Yates loses possession of the ball time after time after time and puts us on the back foot. Yates also is made to look really poor when he comes across any winger with real pace.

...an interesting debate..and I expect to see them both in the starting eleven on Saturday.With injuries and a suspension, I don't think MA will be left with many alternatives.

Duffy hasn't looked solid all season - gets wrong side of strikers - He cost us both goals against Gillingham (messed up with Schuker for the first then got wrong side of the striker when the cross came in for the second) - He cost us both goals at Walsall - very nearly gave away a pen last night for getting caught wrong side again.

 

But as someone says if Mickey is picking him then he must be better.

The fact is though he has been in the starting 11 game after game and we are 2nd in the league. Clean sheet at Exeter and against Oxford. Duffy is better than Yates.

Poor signing in my eyes. Does not get forward and when he does he cannot cross without hitting the front man. Yates deserves a recall.

Yates doesn't give away goals are you blind!! Every time a winger runs at him he ****s himself Shrewsbury at home last year a perfect example arguable all of their goals were his fault defiantly two of them were

Rubbish Duffy is far better than Yates will ever be and has been consistently good all season bar the odd game, all players have the odd bad game. I can't believe anyone actually things Yates is better....
