micky's and our hardest task

Recommended Posts

after being whipped up into a frenzy over the last few days and god am i enjoying it, i'm just wondering how difficult it will be for micky and his staff to keep the lads feet on the ground so to speak, and to some extent how do we the supporters guard ourselves from going overbored with the thinking we are the dogs ******** and bound to walk over every team

on sat for example it will be easy for us all to think it's a forgone conclusion that were going to hammer the gills, myself now i'd accept a scrappy game with a goal going in off some buggers backside in the 90th min

there is a long way to go and there are bound to be a few twists and turns before next may

up the vale!!!!

The kind of football we are playing, it is almost impossible to have a low scoring game!

We leave ourselves so open at times.

I think Gills will come to park the bus. I think teams have to because if they have a go at us and are open in their play we will overrun them.

Back us on goals galore coupon.

Its really hard to not be excited after witnessing the start to the season and if we do beat Gills on Saturday then it will be a huge statement and maybe we can start to really believe.

I dont think the players will get carried away though. I think in Micky Adams we have a manager who wont let that happen.

Gillingham's record is a wee bit misleading. Of the seven games they've played, four have been against teams in the current bottom five. Their three away wins have been against Wycombe, Dag & Red and Barnet - all in the bottom five. They have only played one team in the top 10 and that was Bradford on the first day of the season.

This doesn't mean we'll win. It just means we have nothing to be frightened of.

The great thing with Vale at the moment is the UNITY from the Manager ,players, staff and FANS!I asked at start of season for us all to get off players backs, even if they drop the odd clanger.Thankfully, apart from a few getting at young Joe Davis, the support has been immense. We are going to have a few blips during the season but that encouragement from the fans can see us through to better things.A couple of players took time to get into the game at Fleetwood but, with the fantastic support getting behind them, they settled down and provided us with a superb result.:clap::clap:

Spot on, our seven games have been against far more difficult opposition. To echo what you say again, I totally agree

Means nothing as its just one game of football, but we should be the ones going into this game far more confident.

Only one game of many saturday. If we lose we are still top 7 its our position feb/march and the final run in that matters.Ill be putting my usual bet on to lose ( we win or draw I dont mind losing the money we lose the cash goes into the club at the next match ) but got a feeling we will win 1 nil
