Ex-Players still playing

I can't imagine that little guy in goal for the prize bullies will last long. He looks hopeless.

Paton playing on BBC Scotland for St Johnstone against Patrick. Nothing of note from this game stood out at all. Paton been playing as a central striker.

A good chance to show what he can do.

Looking at the stats I don't think it was a brilliant game Ruari played the full match, got a yellow card in the 82nd minute but I don't think he had much of an impact at all as this is what a St Johnstone fan said on their thread 14 minutes ago.

Honestly you wouldn't have known he was on the pitch save for taking a couple of set pieces. Not that his teammates were any better. Mostly a non-event but as it went on the only team that looked like winning was Partick.

Paton seems to play better when he has someone next too him. He's been played as a the number 10 and 9 position now but hasnt made an impact

He'll probably be frustrated and annoyed at himself more than anyone. The man oozes passion and pride but just can't kick on as a goalscorer

I honestly thought the loan move to St Johnstone would be a success (it still might be) given that he knows the league and can score as he showed when he was at Queen's Park, but at this moment in time it just hasn't worked out tbh though it probably hasn't helped that he hasn't been playing up front as he has either played RAM or AM I mean for the last 2 games he has played up front but he has been up front on his own which doesn't suit his game as he needs someone playing next to him. Yes he more than likely will win the league with St Johnstone but like the Dundee United loan spell last season I get the sense that one will also be a very frustrating one for Ruari.

Just saw Alfie`s goals, can we borrow him for the rest of the season?

I know this wont be popular on here but i do think the time has come for the club to knock the Paton thing on the head now,we signed 2 players that were gambles in a way in Tolaj and Paton, one has worked for us and sadly the other hasn't really,it might be best for Paton and the club to try and move on

Dont get me wrong,i love his passion and enthusiasm and how he is with the fans but again sadly that just isn't enough

Just out of interest is Arblaster still getting game time at Sheff Utd does anyone know?

2 in 6 is good, not really sure what people are expecting from Paton? I’d snap your hand off for a striker who gets a goal every 3 games.
Our Jan signings up top have:

Gray 0 in 12

Sherif 1 in 4

Im not saying Paton was the answer for us, but our signings are no better than him.

Gray scored a goal which was disallowed at the time but the officials later admitted was valid. He also does a lot of off the ball work and some nice passes like the one at Blackpool for us to not score from...
