Anyone remember a quality defender named Peter Clarke (on loan from Blackpool if i remember correctly)?

He played at Leek today for Prescott Cables. Leek won 1-0.

wasn't he on loan from Everton?

Are you 14?

Why, are you a bit simple?

Just because he’s had one decent season in the four seasons since we rightly released him?

You’re the simple one. The point I was making is that no one in our team seems capable of scoring a goal never mind twio. You’d pick a fight in an empty room.

I would rather have had James Gibbons at right or left wing back the season we were first in league one than Sammy bloody Robinson, Mal Benning or Chris Hussey

You are the one that started to have a dig.

So, because he scored 4 goals this season, his first goals since he left the Vale 4 seasons ago, we should never have got rid of him ?

Homegrown ex-player making a decent career for themselves gets shot down. What a surprise. Always the same with homegrown lads it seems. They’re always underrated when with us. People would rather cream themselves over a Mitch Clark or even Kyle John, who’ve come from a bigger club, but who’ve contributed very little to us. I think it’s great that there’s still lads playing to a good standard who we’ve produced through our academy.

I think anyone with some common sense  knows it’s not just about goals either, they must but doing something right to maintain a football league career and be playing every season, but some players give teams something intangible that can lift a crowd or a team. We’ve been lacking those types of characters for a while now. Players that actually look like they give a toss and want to play for the shirt. Give me a player like a Gibbo in this team as a right side of a 3 centre half or a full back any day.

Tolaj on the scoresheet again for Plymouth. Debrah not in the squad again for Bromley, injured? Mitch Clark started for Fleetwood today in a 2-1 win. Barrow are looking likely for the drop under the watch of Wozza as assistant manager.  As do Harrogate featuring Lewis Cass. Oldhams unbeaten run came to an end at Shrewsbury with Pett as captain.

Harrison scored from a Balmer assist for Brizzle

Former loanees Mark Harris scored for Oxford and Harness two for Huddersfield.

Forrester with an OG while playing for Leyton at Championship bound Lincoln.

Typical mardy arse Vale fan getting the wrong end of the stick.

The obsession with Vale fans to bring back ex players is nutcase terrifying level.

A week does not go by without someone mentioning bringing back Nathan Smith or Gibbo.

Get a life people, there are more than these 2 players that are actually playing professional football.

The worlds a big place not just filled with ex Vale players
