Ojo -> Tranmere

Shipley -> Walsall

In the summer. imo.

Unless Ojo retires, I can't see another L1 club having him at the age of 35.

Nah, National League for the both. Even L2 clubs - if they have any ambition - are going to turn their noses up at these perennial bottlers. And no way we’ll miss them

I'm not saying all of those are terrible players and should leave (make your own minds up) but with those contract lengths it's pretty likely a fair few big earners (presumably they are on decent L1 wages) could well still be with us next season.

You'd expect there are wage reductions baked into the contract based on promotion / relegation. If we haven't sorted those then that could be a significant worry.

My thought was mainly Ojo likes Crosby doesn't he?
And Shipley would probably move to a club closer to Coventry you'd imagine.

I don't recall a mass exodus like this in January before. Sad that players with potential are leaving and we're stuck with the likes of Shipley and Ojo.

Good luck Planty! Hope you can play in your proper position and help fire Tranmere up L2.

More will leave yet…..

Yes, my guess is that our better players will be asking their agents to find them a club rather than stick around for what will be a dreadful next few months. I thought that about Curtis and I wouldn’t be surprised if Cole hadn’t been onto his agent too. The vultures will be circling.

I smell a fire sale…

Have to question keeping brown, waine and Paton and letting Plant go imo.

Ronan Hale, or someone like that if Devante goes.

Were we linked to Hale once before? Not sure he would be wanting to drop to league 2 though

BBC gossip page (quoting articles from national/local papers, etc) reports that Gillingham are to sign Hale for £250,000 after having two earlier bids rejected.

It also states that Rotherham are saying Nombe is going nowhere after Bolton bid £2M for him - wonder how much of that Bolton would be prepared to spend on Cole instead?

We have more players than usual, keeping them all happy is a problem, apart from not being able to register them all if we bring players in. Trouble is its likely the better ones will go.

Neither do I and so far we have lost Curtis, Johnson, Faal and Plant. I imagine Cole will be next on the list but I have to admit this mass exodus is very concerning yes I know the squad is too big and we have to sell players but even so these quick-fire sales are alarming and make me think that something is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.

Getting sick of what? he’s nowhere near good enough. Just because he’s one of our own doesn’t make him up to this level

I do t agree- still potential with James Plant. He’s only 21 and was played out of position. Put in some impressive performances -Ipswich away.

there is a player in him and I would be playing him now I’m going to put my hard hat on here but I would have him Shorrock and Debrah in the side now. They all give 100%.

Hopefully we are just reducing wage bill to enable a bigger budget for next season. Fingers crossed  !!!

what I worry about is; is what will be left to keep is in division 2 which seems where we are going and I fear for the future of the club I have supported all my life from 1964 and a season ticket holder for fifty years; Curtis gone Tolaj gone and whose next? Garrety who is forever jnjured?

If Nombe is getting bids of 2m then Tolaj must be worth 8m 🙂
