Be interesting to see how we line up if we sign Cole.

To loan them out to a league 2 club, and League 1 club, well yes good for players development, but how many years do they do that for , before having faith they can do it for the club they are contracted too, not thst matters too me just seems a endless cycle of not being wanted .

According to bloke on X its confirmed SCFC as champions ,lol i had to laugh at that he hasnt even played 1 minute in league 1 yet .

He's had like 10 clubs he will literally without question go to whoever pays him the most, I doubt it will be us.

You strike me as the sort of person who wouldn't know a credible journalist if one walked down Hamil Road holding up a sign saying "Credible Journalists are here again"

Where are the sources in that story? Where is the confirmation?

Mike Baggaley, a credible and excellent journalist, is the ONLY person to have reported this with a shred of legitimacy, he has a quote from the Vale manager saying there is nothing happening. That is a FACT.

Ther rest of it is all supposition and innuendo, with absolutely no basis to believe it at all.

I really think its sad we live in an age where we dont believe people who are actually involved in a story just because they're not saying what we want them to say.

Mike Baggaley reports "there's nothing in this at the moment with a quote from the manager - don't believe it.

Gossip websites, local papers with no connection to Port Vale, with no attribution to anything factual - YES AMAZING WE ARE DEFINITELY SIGNING HIM. 

We may sign him yet.

The point I'm making is that there is absolutely nothing factual out there to suggest that we are, yet people want to believe it with there being no evidence to back it up.

FLW reports that Devante Cole is “earning an estimated weekly wage of £7,500”.

If that’s correct or close, then I guess it depends if Reading’s new owners have more financial substance than their last jokers, because I can’t imagine Vale wanting to lay out 100% of that reported amount throughout a multi-year contract.

And it also depends on whether the Reading management actually do have any interest in Devante Cole, which is also only media speculation.

He was at Charlton at one point wasn’t he. I was looking at the team sheet of that PFA team we played, loads of familiar names all without a club. Just shows how tough it is to stay in the game. But then again national league is supposedly paying well in some cases.
