Would he expect to start? I presumed he would be a squad player for them. A bench option able to play in a few positions.

Interestingly just read an article where it says Carroll has signed a 3 yr deal and taken a minority stake in the club. They just lost 5-1 to Crawley, in a friendly,who are in a higher league .

Yes and a refreshing change.

We are finally a club with a plan beyond the end of the forthcoming season scratching around for scraps.

I know a DoF tried to do it but his recruitment was largely laughable in L1.

Yes, I’m expecting at least 1. CB still looks the weakest area of the squad and most likely for reinforcements.

Playing mainly 343 so far in preseason makes me question if we will see another ST come in permanently though.  All 4 strikers have scored in pre season which is a really good sign whatever the opponent.

I still have a feeling a surprise out will happen before the end of August.

We need to play 352 not 343, which didn't work last season, but either way we need another no. 9 as competition for Stockley.

343 had us top of the league for a while in october/november. Bit silly to say it didn’t work.

Yes we had a rough patch with it, which is where we changed formation to 352 to suit the personnel we had available. Then stuck with it once we started getting results again

With our squad I don’t see us setting up 343 when the season starts. Our squad looks perfect for 352.
