To be fair to him he got a bad Achilles injury and missed the back end of the season when we last went up. I don’t think he came back the same player after that and I think he’s suffered with the same injury since.

I think we need improve 2 things for L1 :-

A couple CB’s who can handle clever movement and comfortable passing a ball.

Genuine pace wide and up front.

Imray would fit that bill and would be a great loan signing.

 

Rumour in the Paddock yesterday was Chizzy is signing for Charlton in the summer.

Would be a strange signing for them if that's true. They have a strong chance of playing in the Championship next season and with respect to Chiz, I think league one is his ceiling.

They also have some really good attacking young players as well,I wonder if he could end up back at Wimbledon

Yeah I’d be surprised if Charlton were interested in him. Thinking of southern L1 clubs that might be interested in him could see Stevenage or Orient being more likely. Failing that Gillingham have cash to burn so maybe they offer him something he can’t refuse.

I think we'll continue to see Sheff Weds links.

Ihiekwe, Paterson, Johnson, and Smith would all fit the bill.

Truly shocked at how some of our players are just written off with no regard for context of where and what we were last season. 

He’s too inconsistent. He’s either really good or <ovf censored>. Can’t have that level of inconsistency in league 1. Smith and Hall also have bad games but they are far rarer. I’d take someone who’s 6/10 every week over someone who’s an 8 one week and 4 the next every day.

I believe Moore has four priorities if we are in L1 next season:

1. 2nd Keeper
2. Resign Rico
3. Front-man to replace Paton if he's not coming back
4. Upgrade the defence to L1 standard

Add Malik Wilks to that list currently on loan at Rotherham.

I thought we were going to get Ihiekwe in January.

Quite possibly more lads from Huddersfield as well - if we can get another young talent like Headley I would be well chuffed.

I think 100% he will be looking at Smith who bagged an hatful in League One under Moore,he will be 34  so that one is certainly doable imo

Personally i think there will be zero chance of Paterson and no idea on the other 2 but as you see we will get linked to a few Sheff Wed and Huddersfield players especially if they get released

I'd argue 1st keeper.

We really need to sort out the wide defensive positions, as you elude to in point 4. We cannot be lining up with Plant and Sang at wingback again. 2/3 in required alongside John and Clark. 

1. Keeper to challenge Amos for first team place

2. RCB in case Debrah is not good enough 

3.LCB as I think Hall will struggle in division 1

4. CM, I have reservations with Croasdale in division 1. Lowe will be gone and Byers isn’t fit enough

5. 2 Center forwards. We will only have Stockley, Tolaj and Curtis. Curtis shouldn’t be a starter for us and I’d like to see Stockley brought on the majority of times and only starting when we need the height.

Improve on all the above we will have a squad good enough to challenge for promotion in division one.
