Is there a new law in football,   you are allowed to hit smith in the face and you will not get a red?

Twice recently now

Apart from that decent ref fir once

So so pleased with that result,  OVF a much happier place tonight

Looked a blatant and very deliberate elbow to the face for me. A red card.

Well the best result for us in that game might end up being a Wimbledon win

So Wimbledon go above us in the table? Get out!  I'm not that fussed about being top; just automatic promotion!

Notts in front at Newport. They’re still more than in this race too.

All credit to Vale for stopping Crewe from getting any kind of rhythm and playing any kind of football in the second half.

The longer that second half went on, there was only one team that was going to win it - get in!

Agreed, I did think Croasdale missed what looked to me a sitter I was starting to doubt it but people can say what they will on this team it does keep going. The amount of late goals we score isn’t an accident I think.

A draw would be ideal but I think it’s better if Wimbledon win, Walsall are on free fall, lose at home to Wimbledon and we can catch them on Tuesday.

Can we now hope that Walsall stuff Wimbledon?

Or is that unkind?

Not SURE we even WANT THAT⁉️🤔🤔😁😁

Bless em all, bless em all, the young and the short and the tall. Bless all the people who wear black and white, especially the ones that are willing to fight. Etc etc 😃

A good away day performance, Amos may of kept us in it and they hit the bar but Croasdale also had 2 really good chances. Jayden Stockley was everything you want in a player today, Immense! Now is the time to follow it up and smash the Tuesday night hoodoo. UTV!

Wimbledon winning could end up being the best thing for us securing autos, just depends on how the rest of the season plays out.

Fair enough. Let's all pray that we get knocked back down to fourth.....

There's 7 games left mate, it's silly to fuss about that result when we have literally 0 idea how it will affect the final picture.

If the season was 39 games long you'd be right

I guess all that matters in football is the key moments at the important points of games.

From the final 20 onwards, only one team looked like scoring. Crewe had seemingly tired out/bottled it, and after Rico and Croasdale's misses, you could sense the tide had turned.

It's seemingly how Moore approaches football. The current paradigm seems to be 'aim to dominate for as long as possible', which Crewe attempted to do. Lowery looked a good player and they were dragging our midfielders all over the place first half. They couldn't finish their dinner at VP and were even worse today.

Moore would argue that we kept things tight for the majority of game, and then when a goal can virtually guarantee you points, we stepped on the pedal. Crewe at that point were fully gone and didn't even threaten in the ten added.

It's strange. Completely counter-intuitive to how we've come to watch football, but this Port Vale team score too many late, important goals for it to be an accident. Another Moore masterclass and it's now 4 wins from 7.
