I think at the moment Pope is showing a lot of people who knocked him what he is about,lets not forget he has scored 2 and none are penalties,maybe Chesterfield will put a bid in for him considering the hard work he used to put in for Richards.

Richards is getting found out IMO, he was always worshiped at Vale by the majority and could do no wrong which made people oblivious to his average ability. Then these said posters/fans would blame the lack of service he recieved and the style of play didn't suit him when he did bugger all.

 

Richards maybe a better finisher than Pope but Pope works hard for the team and brings in other players and hopefully he can add more goals to his game which is looking a strong possibility.

 

Imagine if we get Dickinson with what we are seeing so far!

Popey is slimmer and fitter than last season .....And he worked his socks off.........One or two today were moaning about the Substitutions because Popey was looking a little jaded and he was holding his troubled hamstring......But fair play to Popey he stayed focused and drove the fans wild with his 90 minute Goallllllllllllllllllllllll.......

 

 

By the way the Vale fans were magnificent today.............:clap:

 

 

P.S. Rico was a good player for us BUT he is History now.....

And a lot of Richard's goals came from pens and free kicks,don't think he would of been top scorer if he only scored from open play.

I cant lie - i was gutted when Rico left..and i wish he was still there - still think it was a strange decision to leave for a club in the same division, apart from the money.

 

But so far so good - 6 goals in 3 games, and a nice spread amongst the team..if we can get Dickinson in too, i think we should be good enough to be in "the mixer" come April time....

I think the lack of Natural forwards bar pope is forcing Adams and the team to change tactics a bit. I think this may benefit the likes of pope and dodds.

I totally agree Matt. Adams is right. We look a very different side especially going forward and that's because we have a better midfield. Morsy has come on loads and scoring and setting one up will do his confidence the world of good.

Griffith would consistently pick the wrong pass when going forward. It was always likely we were going to be a better attacking unit in midfield without him
