Chesterfield v Port Vale match thread - 25th Jan

Never a foul never mind a sending off

Absolutely the worst decision I've ever been in a ground to see

Joke

Are we actually even watching a game of football anymore?

Sickener.

Sending off changed the game. Not a straight red  in my opinion, not a violent, malicious or reckless challenge, if players are gonna be sent off for a challenge like that then most games would end with not many players on the pitch.

Pepple was trying to get a Vale player sent off from the start of the game, he  made the most of the challenge and the ref bought it.

Came out all guns blazing.
Went one up and then decided to do absolutely nothing of note as an attacking threat.
Hung on for dear life against a side who are poor and have many players out injured.

Chesterfield had 17 shots to our 6 and 75% possession to our 25%.
And you all wax lyrical about how great it is and a great point???!!

I give up,

It was yet again another Darren Moore masterclass of being totally clueless when we lead a football match. His only tactic is to defend a one goal lead. Inevitably it mainly comes back to haunt us. We should be walking this league with the attacking players we have.

Everyone enjoy your Saturday night and if you’re happy with that non attacking garbage display again, then good on you.

A lot of people on here are in for a huge wake up call in about 3 months time.

Are you blind?

Real shame for Clark and Sang, who were both good other than their glaringly bad mistakes. Having said that, I'd be leaving Sang on the bench at Colchester, with John to RWB and Heneghan in with Smith and Hall for their horrible tight pitch and horrible attritional football. They're all big games at the moment.

Just rewatched the Mitch Clark foul several times.

To the best of my recollection, Mitch Clark had never even been spoken to by the referee before that foul.

Which was a clear foul, and deserved a yellow, but there was no malicious intent and their player carried on with no medical attention at all after rolling around on the floor as though he had had his leg broken.

It had been a good end-to-end game and it was spoiled by yet another posturing incompetent in the guise of a referee.

Well played, lads, in the end a decent result at a ground where we don't often thrive.

On to Tuesday evening at Colchester.

Pick up 3 points there, and this is a good awayday week.

Not being spoken to doesn’t matter . He went in over the top to be fair. No complaints from me.

Straight red all day. Once you go in over the ball , you’re done, intentionally or not.

I feel slightly (and only slightly) better for listening to Moore’s interview.

Golden opportunity for 3 points given some of the players they were missing, but there you go.

I just wish - and Moore eluded to it himself - we could be more clinical and get that 2nd goal when we are on top, especially when we score early.

It feels like we’ve chucked away a lot of points already this year through our own stupidity.

Anyway, we go again.

Honestly if that's a sending off its goodnight football

Think I might genuinely be done with it

Should've been a comfy 1.0 all day

Absolute joke

Not even a foul

If football hadn't gone to the dogs it doesn't matter

Easy win otherwise

Embarrassing

We're not even watching a sport anymore

Watch more football and you'll see that's not the case, many, many challenges go over the top and the player isn't sent off. It wasn't even a forceful challenge, Clarke's foot ends up around foot/ankle level not shin level.

Pepple was trying to get a Vale player sent off from the kick off, cheating rat.

Yellow for me.

You should be seriously embarrassed by that comment

Correct decision, a stupid tackle cost you 2 points no good people blaming Sang if that tackle isn't made you would have won 2 or 3 nil. i find it unbelievable how your fans view different players when they make mistakes Harper gets sent off against Crewe and gets slated Clarke gets sent off and fans praise him.

I think it’s a foul because he caught him on the top of the foot after the ball had gone. Yellow at best though.

Totally agree I'm watching it on me telly and froze it not even a foul .

It's a disgraceful decision and gave them a lift a lift which shouldn't have happened .

I haven't watched all the game today ,(last 20 and highlights after the gsme )but why when Vale go down to 10 players do they seem like they the opposition have 13 players ,it's one player, you only got go 4 -4 -1 and make sure the one can run like the wind .

Vale do not even attempt go forwards is along with there equaliser infuriated me greatly after the sending off ,that to me is on the manager .

His negativity going cost us .
