Good half, these have some good players. Played some nice stuff and defended well, smith with some lovely blocks. Harper has played ok but I think I’d bring Byers on as I just worry with him on a yellow

Well done Vale for that first half.  Just need to keep it up please.

Get another quick goal as Chesterfield seem very rattled at the moment and a player booked for abusing the official which makes a change.  Normally only Vale players are booked by officials for silly things.

Is it a short pitch. BBC text said it was a shot from 35 yards 😜

Defensively we look sound. They e had a couple of chances but we are dealing with them with no issues.

It’s a decent away performance and we’re hitting them well on the break.

We need to do better at holding the ball and controlling the game though. This is what frustrates me about DM’s style of play personally. If we were a bit better in possession we could boss what has to be said a poor Chesterfield team.
 

It’s not great to watch but it’s a good professional performance so can’t really grumble.

Need better corner takers though!

 

Good game. Decent first half where we had to show resolve at times.

Byers for Harper to give us more control in midfield, and then bring on the new lad to add some pace up top after 60-65 minutes.

Other scores all currently positive for Vale.
