    Hackford is developing. He’s laying the ball off much better and has a bit more aggression in chasing down. He’s always been a good finisher. Hopefully he’ll continue to improve.

    John and Clark is the way to go on that side surely. Hopefully Hall will be back and personally I’d play Smith in the centre.

    Agree to some degree but it’s certainly a helping hand to have proven scorers and to be able to sign players like Byers

    It is undoubtedly but then again it’s not exactly done much for MK and I would hazard a guess they’ve been bigger spenders than us for one.

    Here's that Vale first-team management / coaching set-up -

    Manager:    Darren Moore   
    Assistant Manager:    Wayne Jacobs   
    Lead First Team Coach:    Jamie Smith    
    First Team Coach:    Lee Bradbury   
    Goalkeeping Coach:    Gary Walsh  
    Player Development Phase Coach:    Matt Done

    As Players they total 2,709 professional appearances, at all levels up to Premier League.

    As Managers / First-team coaches they total in the region of 1,500 games, at all levels up to Premier League.

    They have lived and breathed football for decades, approaching 40 years in the case of Wayne Jacobs, not even counting their long youth careers before that.

    And now they are bringing all of that experience and knowledge and professional qualification to the benefit of Port Vale (courtesy of Carol and Kevin's generosity).

    I would suggest that a bit more respect would be well-deserved for all concerned.

    Didn’t Carlise spend a fair whack at the beginning of the season? And have signed quite a few this window & they sit rock bottom
