This is absolutely painful. Soem of the ***** people talk on here. It's 20 quid every other week, if you can't afford it I feel sorry for you. Many of you just want to believe you can't afford it because you're wired that way in the head. You always think you're being ripped off and you've always got vendettas with someone at the club. You all expect to be Vale fans and have a club but you're not willing to contribute. I'm sorry if this doesn't apply to you but I am so bored of reading the same old bull****.

 

Clubs that operate on smaller gates etc are either bankrolled by a chairman or have lower matchday costs due to having a tiny gate and/or a lower playing budget. I can see why Vale need a gate of around 5000 to operate that big ground on a match day with all the stewarding etc. We also have a pretty big playing budget this season as Ryder promised us the world and then didn't deliver.

 

Why can't people just drop all their stupid little vendettas against everything Port Vale and just back the club. If you don't want to go, don't, but don't make out it's Port Vale's fault for not doing enough to entice you or for charging too much. The simple fact of the matter is, you'd always find a reason not to go, you're just wired that way.

What have the homeless got to do with it? I wasn't aware a significant number of our missing fanbase were homeless people? If so I take my comments back but again this is another typically irrelevant response.

You're first sentence is a disgrace and you should take it back. I know a family of Vale fans where both parents were made redundant from the same company recently - they're currently wondering how to clothe their kids for the new school year, do you think turning up at Vale Park is even on their agenda at the moment? :mad:

Or they are ran professionally and maximise off field opportunities

Spot on - it dosent matter how much people argue the toss on here about loyal fans , moaners etc . The harsh reality is we wont acheive 5000 average gates this season imho whatever goes on with results on the pitch.

 

BY and his merry men are dreamers - I still cant beleive whoever appointed them again to administer Vale aint been sacked. We need to get the ownership sorted by someone who knows what they are doing and dosent make decisions about the Clubs future based on snapshots of someones bank account.

 

My take on it is that BY wants and begs for the 5,000 because he knows that will take them into profit and did he not say that they will take a percentage at the end of admin if they have made a profit?

our club is still in crisis and we need a new owner and fast . is by doing a good job ? imo no . will he get it right ? i hope so (he has to). when we have been sold then hopefully many more fans will return on a regular basis . in the meantime we all need to stand together and quit this pointless bickering . if people can afford i am sure that as fans they will come and support the club in its hour of need. the price on the gate is too expensive imo but nothing can change atm. a team that wins games will make it more appealing for fans to part with their hard earned , after all its the football on the pitch which really matters .
