A question re.bob young's pledge on fulfilment of fixtures

Hi, all.

Bob Young has said he's assured the football league that we'll fulfil our fixtures for 2012-2013.

I'd be grateful if someone could let me know how binding that undertaking is, and if it means we really ARE going to get through the 2012-2013 programme.

I don't see how there can be any absolute certainty that we will. At this point it looks like we will which is the best BY can say

 

Could happen to any club really..no matter how they might look now it could all go belly up during the season

The part that interested me was the bit where he said he had told the league we could complete the season if we averaged 5000 gates.What if we dun a,or what if the league don't think we will ?

Wel we won't know the average 'til the end of the season so we should last 'til then

 

Could get quite tense..last match, average has been 4999..will that last day attendance take us to the magic 5000 mark? Will we miss out cos Mr Aitch is too busy having cocktails with the South Oxfordshire Ponsenby-Smythes?

I think a lot depends on how the team performs,if they are winning their games I think 5,000 won't be a problem so let's hope the lads can pull it off for us.

Bob Young has given a public commitment and won't have done so lightly. The reputational damage has to be considered but I expect he expects to sell Port Vale soon.
