Competitive game some meaty challenges, Vale did well to get back in the game.

Donny look like a team, Vale more a collection of individuals.

Tad frantic from Vale at times, dying for someone to put a foot on the ball and dictate the game.

Vale need some real width on the pitch, time for BBB?

For the first time ever, I think I am watching the same game as WV. If we scored with a long ball between two defenders and hammered home from the edge of the box then it's a great goal.

Even if we go onto to lose today then I am impressed the nifty flicks and one-twos even under pressure. The fight to win the ball is there. In time when we gel we will be a force to be reckoned with.

My only negative was on five minutes when we had a throw on the edge of their box, we threw it backwards, it went all the way to Ripley who hoofed it and we gave away a free kick. I thought "oh no, please don't do this Southgate sheyite again". We didn't do it all game last season, mostly only when in real danger. Good 'alf I think.

 

Would love a nice 3-1 win here.
