Having just looked at some pictures of Kyle John, I think he was there. He was one of the players I didn't recognise.

We could have an announcement later today. I'd be shocked if Kyle John is not signed.

It seems rather strange that the season kicks off in four days time and the squad numbers haven't been announced yet? Suggests that the starting XI for Saturday is still undecided.

Completely forgot the numbers hadn’t been announced 😂 you’d imagine we’ll hear something in the next couple of days. Although squad numbers will have no bearing on line ups whatsoever

...I'm in the same boat as you on this, RZ. I saw Kyle John at Bath and am 99% sure he took a full part in the open training session yesterday which I also attended - a good 'day out.' Not sure why we haven't signed another RB ....we certainly need one... Perhaps he is the answer.

He was decent for 45 mins at Bath. However, that's only 45 mins and I guess it's more down to what the manager and coaches are seeing on the training field than half a game of football.

Still worried about defense, i wouldnt mind loan cover even, might give mitch a chance to get back.

We need cover at right back, it’s as simple as that. Have they even said how long Clark is out for or what his injury is?

Clark may be a good player but we seldom see enough of him on the pitch for him to be of enough impact.  Hence fullback cover(RB particularly) is definately needed.  It sounds harsh but he's another along with Grant and Jones who I'd question the sanity of handing out 2 year contracts to, with their injury records.  That's not to say I'd jettison him along with those 2 if the chance arose as he's a better play than them but we need 30+ game a season players, is Clark really that at least consistently?

Grant did have an injury record when he joined. Most people were enthusiastic when we signed him. I think Jones's medical issues started at Vale, certainly I understood the initial 2 year contract. Clark played 49 games the season before we signed him.

Not a clue. I would imagine it would just be a U23’s or reserve team.

I agree with the defence. We look short of numbers in FB areas and I still feel  we need a RW with a change of pace.

To be fair the window and the squads are not concluded until the end of the month so I’m sure they will be addressed either with permanent or loans. I would imagine that’s the decision with the trialists. Are they better than the potential loans available?
