Wouldn’t surprise me to see Plant loaned out. Especially if the Malik Wilks signing comes off

Plant was the next big thing out of the Academy at the time(was it him and McDermott a similar time) but due to injury and being played out of position he has fallen behind,the club as far as i know still really rate him but it could be a make or break season for him

Didn’t help being played at wing back as you say, there’s a lot of potential but also a great deal to be worked on still in terms of development.

Can someone tell me what his position is and is he good enough in that position to be effective, ie not just do a job?

Playing as an attacking midfielder would suit him but we're already well stacked in that area with Ben and Chiz but he'd be good to have in the squad as cover imo 😎

Lad needs to be playing regularly for me if he’s to improve & kick on this season

In the youth set up he was played attacking midfield and right wing

Sadly as it stands there is no room for him in that position at Vale now

As it stands though he might have the chance to stake a claim out wide if DM chooses to play that way,as that's a position we haven't strengthened as yet unless there is some truth in the Wilks rumour

We never really played him in his best position as we tried to shoe horn him into LWB, it arrested his development a bit .Needs a loan to the national league till January for me , but I still think he’s the right winger we need just needs development 

I am still surprised this right winger hasn't signed anywhere yet,obviously holding out for the best deal but has a decent record and impressed during the play off games i saw,he refused a contract offer to join Doncaster

I heard an interview with Lee Bell this morning where he was saying he was hoping to bring in 2 or 3 more over the next 2 or 3 weeks,he says there are good players out there but some out of contract players just dont like pre season training so will wait until the majority of that's done(must of had a book off Flitcroft with his lines in it). Seems odd that a player wouldn't want to get fit but who knows

Oh well just had £5 EW on a leagues acca ... so if  Sheff Utd/Birmingham/Vale and Oldham all win their leagues I win 35k 😜 although I win as often as Vale so not holding out much hope(obviously get a bit of something if they all go up as well in the top 2 or 3)
