Hope that Somebody with Money and Some Football Knowledge with a Winning Mentality and who won’t suffer fools will buy the club.

Rid out the whole rotten to the core, cowardly ******** and start again.

I won’t hold my Breath.

The Best in my Lifetime were Bell and Rudge !

Oh for a few of them days again !

The Shanahans paid £5m for Vale and have never stopped moaning. “It was a ransom that had to be paid.” “We’ve spent more money in four years of ownership than we planned to do in five.” “We’ll pay for some infrastructure elements but day-to-day expenditure at the club has got to come from day-to-day earnings.” Robbie Williams is worth £222m - £300m, depending which source you look at. Buying Vale would be peanuts to him with enough pennies left over to make some real changes, both to the facilities and the team.

What makes you think he WANTS to buy it?

Rudge was great but even he went on a run of 18 games without a win?However,he made up for that by signing some great players such as Osher Williams,Alan Webb,Andy Jones,Mark Grew,Ray Walker,Bob Hazell,Darren Beckford,Simon Mills,Darren Hughes,Gary Ford,Dean Glover,John Jeffers,Neil Aspin,Nick Cross,Kevin Kent,Robin van der Laan,Martin Foyle,Keith Houchen, Peter Swan,Ian Taylor,Paul Musselwhite,Steve Guppy,Tony Naylor,Jon McCarthy,Lee Mills,Ian Bogie,Gareth Ainsworth,Peter Beadle,Michael Walsh and Marcus Bent.Sorry if I've missed anybody.

Recruitment is critical and sadly we have gone downbank?

True…..IMO, we have an owner who has given managers and the recruitment team more support than previous owners, it is those who have let us down.

Other than getting a fee for Bent, I can’t remember him doing much for Vale, likewise Peter Beadle  doesn’t really stick in the memory especially seeing as he was a striker. Rudge was a good manager in an era that suited both him and the chairman, there was far more wheeling and dealing for clubs back then, I suspect Belly made a reasonable amount of money off the back of some of those transfer fees we received. Unfortunately nostalgia doesn’t change where we are today.
I do have some sympathy for our chairwoman, we bemoan a lack of communication from the club but then when she does speak it gets analysed and derided to the point of ridicule. I disagree with one or two decisions she has made however there is nothing to suggest that she is out to fleece the club. If only she could see that by keeping Flitcroft in post, is like allowing a pantomime baddie to remain on stage way beyond their welcome. It will 100,000,000% end in tears. Whether she likes it or not, eventually the fans will get what they want, it really depends on how much suffering she would want to witness our DOF endure. I’ve said it before, this is going to get really messy.

Missed Anthony Gardner off the list who we sold for a million. Best defender I’ve seen at the club and was the nail in the coffin for Rudge going, we leaked goals after he left and got relegated shortly after.

Rudge gave him his debut but he played most of his games under Brian Horton

This is frighteningly accurate.  The unfortunate fact is that she won't listen to anybody, and she is going to suffer unneccessarily because of it, despite people's best efforts.  The ultimate loser, of course, is the club.  It always is.

I didn't include Gardner because he joined Vale straight from school when he was sixteen.

Carol is worth £180m after selling Synectics. If she wants to spend, she certainly could. Robbie loves Robbie and has enough adoration from his fans. When he is about 70 and he wants a bit of glory again or a legacy before he dies off, he might fancy a go. Can’t see it myself .
