Leek town are having a blinding season, top of the league and scoring for fun .  Downside no free drink.

Yes top of the League is OK but what about the really important thing ? whats the pitch like ?

Who would want to go watch a Top of the League side playing on a rubbish pitch. Much prefer watching a rubbish , bottom of the League side play on a wonderful pitch. Appeals to my aesthetics.

Oh by the way I also think our DoF is doing a great job. Anyway must dash as I have a fitting for my strait jacket.

It's very difficult to see owners who clearly care but who are not listening to the thousands of Port Vale supporters who can see the issue at the club.

We've repeated the mistakes from January 2023 in January 2024. If we repeat the mistakes this summer that we made in the summer of 2023, we'll be on the brink of non league football this time next year.

The "structure" in our club and the "process" are not working at all. The recruitment of players is shambolic.

The current squad we have will finish bottom of L2 next season. Drastic changes are needed immediately to give us a chance of a summer recruitment to enable us to be League 2-ready come August.

Season ticket holders are the foundation, the bedrock, the heart and the soul of Port Vale Football Club. Listen to us and act on what we can all see now, to help stop the free fall that we're currently in and give us a chance next season!

UTV!

The owners don’t have to listen to the fans, they simply have to use their own faculties.  Simply open their eyes to the league table, reflect on performances over 2 seasons and why those performances have on average not been up to league 1 standard.  We’ve replaced managers, that hasn’t worked, so that leaves the players and the DoF, who recruited the players and the managers.

Fans shouldn’t actually need to protest it’s so blindly obvious where the blame for our failure lies.

If Carol is looking for a soft option then simply employ a head of recruitment to go with our large collection of middle managers and announce with a big fanfare that Flitcroft has no dealings on that side of things going forward.

For the soft option Isn’t Tommy Johnson head of recruitment Ray? Are you saying replace him or have him report to our manager rather than DF?

With regret and guilt I have not been to Vale at home for 5 games . I have a season ticket and a car park permit but the football no longer gives me any enjoyment . Firstly ,we have a play it out from the back mentality that goes sideways and backwards when a forward pass is not taken because all the player wants to do is pass the responsibility to another player 5 yards away .This is supposed to be the modern way of football but countless goals are given away because the players cannot play this way because they are pressured into making mistakes and stupid goals are given away ---it is laughable and self defeating knocking confidence . I have made my mind up about not buying a season ticket and not buying a car park permit for next season in league 2.. The only way for me to come back into the fold is for the DOF to depart and the manager be allowed to sign his own players .We have seen the playing talent reduced and now the full horror of self inflicted relegation is here . Two fit strikers was and still is at the very least we needed but if the excuse is no money then we should be looking at non league talent--a process that we have enjoyed in the past .Putting out a coulda ,shoulda , woulda  statement lines up with the dog ate my homework excuse that  Vale fans will not take to . The self made DOF is responsible for recruitment and non recruitment lies solely at his door which he should shut on his way out of the club .

Carol cannot keep on giving him chances after every failed transfer window weakens the team resulting in relegation .The  fans who know something about football have been shouting " iceberg " for every chance to avoid this situation . We do not need another blank transfer window or we are going to struggle in league 2 . So Carol you have the choice of supporters or your DOF --- the two cannot co-exist .

We had a flair player David  Worrall let go who gave some entertainment and exciting wing play a reminder of Guppy , Ainsworth and McCarthy days when entertainment was a high part of Vale success  .You would not expect these players to pass 5 yards sideways -these wanted to entertain .Yes , these days are gone but where is same positive forward play with a striker scoring after good  movement . The writlng was on the wall with the 7 nil wake up call from day one .

Best of luck to Darren Moore who has walked into a nightmare . He is not responsible and if allowed to sign his own players may not prove terminal to Vale . The DOF or Definition of Failure must not get in the way of rebuilding next season .

IMO Carol will see that season ticket sales will be slow. The season after the promotion was a no brainer there was a buzz around the team and the whole club. The poor transfer windows we've had since will make people wait to see who comes in and what the squad looks like. Problem is every year we leave it to the last minute to sign players and the preseason is wasted. She needs to make some good signings early to show her intentions otherwise the fence sitters will wait.
Why oh why do we do this every season if it's penny pinching then this season is what it leads to. I've supported the Vale 60 years and I don't think I've ever felt so depressed after matches and believe me I've seen some bad ones. I follow is good because you can watch all the matches these days but my god I've wished on a few occasions I wish I couldn't.
Over to you Carol and the management team you have a massive job to do. Vale will always be my team through thick and thin. UTV

Report directly to Moore, but in fact he may be part of the same problem.  Who knows?  But fans aren’t crying out for change other than the DoF, so the easiest way for Carol would be simply to make the change at the top and keep the infrastructure in place.

We should be told in the next couple of weeks the price for next season.

Surely with basement league football on offer we should see at least a freeze in prices if not a slight reduction.

It will be interesting to see whether the hospitality boxes sell out like this season, and I would imagine sales overall will fall by 1500.

Flitcroft Out.

A freeze in prices , No way season tickets should be £250 at most next season, mate .
