Deluded does not even come close 🤣🤣🤣

31 defeats in 54 games and Carol thinks the players are "phenomenal". It's actually quite scary how clueless and deluded she is.

Their player couldn't have been more than 5 yards away from the free kick he blocked for the goal. Useless ref and linesman...no surprise there

Doesn't matter if we decide to take a quick one and he doesn't deliberately attempt to block it. Massive own goal by us.

Does that rule even count when we decide to take it quickly? Isn’t that on us then for taking it so quickly?

Remember Flickers saying how great the pitch was? Part of the infrastructure stuff.

Looked shocking today.

He's not 10 yards away though

 No goal

Law 13: Free Kicks

If, when a free kick is taken, an opponent is closer to the ball than the required distance, the kick is retaken unless the advantage can be applied; but if a player takes a free kick quickly and an opponent who is less than 9.15 m (10 yds) from the ball intercepts it, the referee allows play to continue.

Yep, was just Smith being really daft.

I thought you had to be 10 yards away. I've seen players kick it at another player who is right in front of them and they've been booked for not being 10 yards away?

Stick that on ya pipe & smoke it 😂 how some are defending that from smith & looking for excuses is utterly embarrassing

No exaggeration, that may well be the very worst goal we've ever conceded. Can anyone think of any that are worse?

I remember a similar goal conceded at home to Stockport when Horton was in charge. Going back to 2002 I think

I feel sorry for Ben Garrity. He was the only player again to show anything at all. He surely cannot stay here when we get relegated. He deserves so much better than to be in the same team as Smith, Jones and Wilson. I would not have any of them in a Sunday morning team. Total waste of 3 shirts. Today should have been the start of a revival. I felt the crowd and atmosphere were great before the kick off. Once Smith had impersonated being a footballer after 1 minute he killed the game and atmosphere completely. Utter shambles. Do those players honestly want to fight for Vale? In my opinion NO.

Are you seriously blaming the officials for that goal?

Abysmal.

I suppose we are now due another patronising lecture from Carol for our continuing criticism of her chosen one but really, this team is hopeless and our failure to strengthen it will doom us to relegation. Even the too few good players are underforming... The statistics don't lie. It's absolutely unforegiveable and thoroughly depressing.
