My main worry about any formation that requires wilson to play as a lone striker is that he would probably be back on the injury list by half time because he would get battered by their centre backs.

Wilson ran round like a lost soul on Tuesday. Not getting the ball. His compatriot Chislett was trying to pick the ball up too deep. Loft could be effective as a target man, but I don't see how ball in the air stuff helps Wilson. The team needs to find a way of playing together well. Finally it must also have defensive resilience and win tackles. A statement of the obvious I know.

Lowe in midfield again. What a joke, back 5 again… Mighten on the bench… what’s happened to the ‘wonder kid’ we signed on loan?

I agree although neither look much good lately they are both a better option than Lowe.

Agreed. I’d have sang in there myself. He hasn’t had a fair run of games in the middle yet we persist with Lowe in there when we can all see it doesn’t work & he’s better suited in the back line

It will be interesting to see when the new manager takes over if he sticks with 352 considering we have no players that actually suit the formation. Will be quite clear then who is directing how we play.

I'm unclear as to which formation we have the players to suit at this point.  The design intent for the squad seems to have been 3-5-2.  The fact that the squad doesn't fit its design intent doesn't necessarily mean that it will be better suited to something else.  Whichever way we line up I believe that we will have some square pegs in round holes.  3-4-3 maybe, but that still leaves us with 3 at the back.
