Before Uche got injured the plan was to bring in a couple more young loans but surely that has to change now

His work rate was good and his pace was outstanding. He was as physical as uche. Uche holds players off, He doesn't send them to the flore or send them flying like loft. If he gets this chance I think he will score goals. One good ball onto him and he will outpace most defenders. He also needs to get Into the box more. I wish him the best.

Whether some fans like him or not right now we all need to get behind him. As of yesterday he's become a crucial player for us.

Absolutely right. He has a chance to prove himself. We can splash the cash on someone decent or get a backup for loft.

I will get behind Loft everytime he's on the pitch. But if we are relying on him as our main striker, then we will be in League 2 next season.

Similar to the Brown season with Reg Cecilia!

Sorry but don't see Loft as the saviour and will be able to get us goals.  Defence will leak them quicker than he can score them.

No striker(or even 2 - young one and an experienced one) in - we will be relegated this year.  Another Jan window where we get weaker rather than stronger like other clubs do.

The thing with Loft and I will preface this by saying I still don’t especially think much of him but we need to get out of our heads with him that just because he’s over 6ft he’s a target man. You almost need to treat him like Josh Thomas and knock it into the channels and get him into a foot race with the defender, there is his strength. Playing it into his feet with his back to goal is no good as his ability to control a ball is awful. 

Typical Vale luck yesterday with Uche getting injured . 
One minute it looks like he’s moving on for a fee which would have probably enabled us a chance to bring in a forward or two but now we don’t even have him available and he’ll be gone for nothing in the summer ! 
These are the unexpected issues which must be a nightmare when trying to manoeuvre things in a transfer window, not as simple as some of our experts on here seem to think 🤔

No maybe about it.  David Flitcroft has laid out the blueprint for the football side of the club.  He oversees recruitment.  Crosby, or whoever we have as manager in the future, is tasked with implementing the philosophy at first team level and likely as not will not have full control over recruitment, playing style or even team selection.
