Ultimately it is a squad game and we have to build both a squad as well as a competitive side. Of the players committed to us for next season we are squad player heavy at the moment as arguably only Loft of those already now with us is of the required first team standard.

 

I'm sure Micky knows that and will attempt to address accordingly once others make decisions on their own future and perhaps more pertinently when our own future is hopefully rubber stamped by the Football League.

So basically we have managed to retain 3 of the most dispensable players in the squad and the Sentinel consider this a coup? Would anyone have batted an eyelid if they had all been released? I don't actually mind Rob Taylor but he's hardly pulled up any trees has he! I knew it would be some rubbish non event type news considering we can't actually sign anyone yet but even Louis re-signing would have been far more newsworthy than this.

Rob Taylor beats full backs at ease. He's the only geniune threat we've got in midfield. Scored 10 from the wing a season or so ago. Was playing full back for the majority of games this season.

 

Vale fans are morons. I'm pleased we've signed Taylor. I wouldn't have kept Williamson though.
